Additionally, the Antelope Valley chapter of the AIAA is offering grants of up to $500 for AIAA Educator Associates applying STEM principles. Grant applications are due to aiaa.av@gmail.com by no later than 5 Feb. 2011, and winners will be announced at the 4th Annual AV-ation Symposium at AVC in February. The application must include info:
* A brief description of the proposed applied classroom project.
* How this project will help to prepare the instructor’s students for careers in math, science, engineering, and technology.
* Expected costs.
* Brief statement from at least 2 students of the classroom to receive the grant describing why they feel the project is important and what they expect to learn.
* How local AIAA professional members, including those in government, academia, and industry, can assist with support or mentoring, as desired.
